WEEK 1 (8/26/2019 - 9/1/2019)

THE GREENSHOW

The Greenshow is a performance of people on an outdoor stage that presents a very beautiful show 

composed of a little history, fun, and a little magic. The Greenshow allows you to leave the noise and 

stress of the world behind and enjoy an incredible show with dance, music and good mood. For me,

 the Greenshow was a unique experience because I was able to participate with my family, it was 

a moment of happiness and joy with my family that I had not seen for almost a year. 

    Then, for me, the Greenshow is not a show like the others because the actors of the  Greenshow

imply the public in their own performance, I mean, they can choose random spectators to give them a

 role in a scene and I find it cool and fantastic although it can often be embarrassing for some people.

Indeed, during the show, they presented several scenes and during 3 of them, they took people in the

 public to play a role like for example, they took at random a lady in the public, asked him her name

 and they made a love song for her, it was funny and at the same time embarrassing for the lady 

because she did not know what to do. They also randomly took small girls out of the public to lift a

rock-shaped cardboard that was supposed to be heavy because we saw one of the actors fighting with 

this rock but the little girls raised it without the slightest problem. It was funny and fun to watch this 

scene.

Finally, it is a completely free activity so everyone can participate, it's also,  a moment of good

humor not to be missed if I have any advice to give you, go to participate as soon as possible before

the tour ends on September 7, 2019.

The Party On The Hill


Southern Utah University has organized several events to allow students to get to know each other 

and share moments together during the first week. it was within this framework of activity that I was

 able to participate in "Party on the Hill". Hearing party on the Hill made me think we were going to a

 mountain and have fun but no, it happened at the lake near Walmart and it was a really fun time. 

Indeed, there were several activities that could participate, there was Kayak, volleyball, swimming 

and it was cool. Personally, I could not swim because the water was cold so I preferred to play

 volleyball with other SUU students. I was able to make friends and the thing that I noticed among  

all these people are that there was a little native of cedar city, I mean, there were many more people 

coming from the city ​​from everywhere in the United States and even in the world. I think SUU is a 

good school because it promotes diversity.

There was music and there was such an excitement between student really indescribable.

I'm so excited to see what SUU has reserved for me this year.

                                                                  THE TBIRDS BAND




The Tbirds Band was a small activity held on Friday, August 30th just in front of the Gerald R.

Sherratt Library. This activity was organized to be a way for the SUU student to share a moment

 together. It was also an opportunity for the Freshmen to know the SUU Fanfare. There was a hot dog

 sale that was really good. I think everyone was unanimous on the taste of the hot dog because it was

really good. The band featured Uptown funk music by Bruno Mars and  other famous musics like

Beat it by Bruno Mars.


It was amazing to see them doing that. I met two friends during this activity with whom I went to

paint  the town red and also the dance party on the soccer field that I will present to you during my

next two writtings.
                       






















                                                                         Paint the town red



       Paint the town red is one of the activities/ I loved the most during my first week in SUU. This

activity took place on the main street next to the Hong Kong buffet. I really liked this activity because

 it allowed me to join clubs that I wanted to join since a long time like ROTC or the chemistry club

, this activity also allowed me to make new friends and also to have fun. There were several fun things

to do during this activity, in fact, all the clubs present during this ceremony had something fun to

present to the one who wanted to participate. For example, the ROTC club had an  arm wrestling

activity against an element of the ROTC or some pushups to win prizes. It was fun to participate.

Finally, there were the letters Tbirds to allow people to take souvenir photos.

Dance party

the dance party is the last activity and the most fun I have participated in my first week. Indeed, as

 the name suggests, the dance party was a party on the soccer field just in front of the football 

stadium. It started at 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm. It was really interesting as a party, and what I found 

most interesting was that everyone was lucid because there was no alcohol and I found it really good. 

There was good music and the DJ was really good with the turntables. There were games of lights 

and also people who sprayed us with water, it was so cool. Also, the people at this party were all 

cool, everyone was dancing, laughing and having a good time. It was my first party in the United 

States and I really enjoyed it.
